Wanna Date?

This morning after she was ready for school, Addy decided to work on her homework packet. It's not due until Friday each week, so she works on it a little at a time. She was working on word families and had to write a word in each family listed and draw a corresponding picture for each word.

She chose "fig" for the "-ig" word family and when she asked her dad what it looked like so she could draw it, he said, "it looks a lot like a date." When she showed him her picture, it was a picture of two people holding hands and a heart in between them. He asked, "Addy, why did you draw a picture of two people?" She said, "You said it looked like a date!"

Precious! After a good laugh, he looked up a pic online so she could draw from that! Love it!
