The last six weeks have possibly been the busiest six weeks of my life. The good news is that it was mostly doing things I love - and we got to share much of it as a family. I love our job and I love watching Addy begin to understand what our family is working to accomplish . . .
In two days, we will send off our last group of interns to the field. I'm a little sad about this because we've had a really great time with them - but it will be good to take a short breather before things pick up again in July. The fun part is we get to do their debriefing once they return to the States in August, so it's just good-bye for now!
After we completed Pre-field Orientation for the interns the first week of June, we took part in our annual Pioneer Mission Institute where over 50 inquirers and about 150 PBT missionaries, board members, forwarding agents and parents of missionaries gathered for classes, worship, and fellowship. We were blessed by the reports brought from all of our fields and are very excited about those who, as a result of the week, have already requested recruit applications!
This was the first year Addy was old enough to participate in the children's program and she loved it! At the end of the week, all the kids (4 yrs old through high school) shared about their week. Addy's group recited Joshua 24:15 and sang a Melanesian Pidgin song (along with a couple other songs). We feel so blessed by the opportunity she had to spend the entire week with some of her MK friends, especially since one of them is headed to Africa at the end of July.
My mom and brother are coming to town on Wednesday, so I am looking forward to taking a couple of days off to spend with them.

Okay, so it's not exactly great photography, but it was sure cute watching our little girl sing in Pidgin and recite her memory verse!
Jayden does this hilarious bit . . . She starts by holding two spoons in her hands . . . if you offer her a third spoon, she drops one to take the other one from you. If you pick it up and offer it to her, she'll drop one again to take it. She'll just keep doing this . . . it's hilarious! We discovered this little trick at dinner one night during the conference. Our president, Greg Pruett, was holding her through dinner . . . she definitely ended the night by peeing on his leg!
Jayden continues to love on Addy's baby dolls - I looked over this morning to find her in a sea of babies!
