Better late than never!

We've had a very busy month. Here is a picture update:
Addy has become quite the little artist. This is one of my favorite pics she has done recently - it's a whale in case you weren't sure:)
Before the interns arrived for Pre-field Orientation and before our campus welcomed a couple hundred people for our annual Pioneer Mission Institute, several of us decided to go camping one weekend to enjoy some time together. Unfortunately, it rained cats and dogs all day on Saturday so we packed up early and came home. This is a pic of the girls having breakfast in the our tent. We at least got to enjoy a quick dip in the lake the night before and a campfire with smores. It wasn't a complete bust.
Addy was in her first ever dance recital. She did a tap number (below) and a ballet dance (above). None of the pics of her up on stage turned out well, but she sure looked beautiful and danced really well - especially on the ballet piece. She was sad to be taking a break from dance over the summer, but she'll begin swim lessons tonight, so I think she'll survive:)
I flew to IL for one of my best friends' weddings - Abby. As her matron of honor, I got to enjoy all the fun festivities, including a manicure, getting my hair and make-up done, and 2 whole days just hanging out with such a dear friend. It was a wonderful weekend!! Below is a pic of some of my college friends who also came to town for the wedding.
The day after the wedding, I left for the airport at 3:30 am to head home for Pre-field Orientation of our summer interns. We had a group of 16 interns/coaches headed to three fields this year and they were such a special group! Although I was a bit worn out from the trip to IL, it was a wonderful week. They were a huge support to me as I underwent some medical tests during the week of PFO and the week following, which was PMI.

Addy really enjoys the interns every year and this year she bonded with several of the girls. This is a pic of her with Josy-Anne, who went to West Africa.

Even thought the girls enjoyed the interns and their PMI classes, they were pretty excited to have their mommy and daddy back and get back on schedule after our three week marathon. We saw the interns off at the airport and enjoyed some R & R together (in addition to catching up on the many things that didn't get our attention at home during this time!)

One of the things we did to relax this weekend was take a couple hours one day to go to the lake. It has a very nice sand beach and we enjoyed playing and swimming, as well as a picnic lunch.

I love this picture. Jayden is our little climber and quite enthused about life. She is wearing an outfit that my grandma made for me when I was a kid. I love it!
