Camping

In early October we took the kiddos camping along with a group of friends from PBT. It was really an interesting undertaking since Isaiah was doing some serious teething at the time, but the girls were really excited to spend some concentrated time with some of their best friends. The highlight of our two night camp out was the Sunday morning worship and communion service. It reminded me again of how much I love these dear friends and how blessed we are to serve alongside these heroes of the faith.

Addy and Jayden enjoying lunch. Poor Jayden got into a mound of fire ants during the trip. This was the second time she has done this and it wasn't pretty. Thankfully I managed to get them off her before she had more than 50 bites on her feet and calves.

The girls spent most of their time playing in the tents and in their "girls only, secret clubhouse" which was located under the limbs of a gigantic tree. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but they picked some flowers and put them in cup with water for a centerpiece. We were all delighted to discover come lunch time that they had used up all our drinking water to water flowers around the campsite!
