Texas State Fair

My mom and step dad came down for a brief visit in mid-October and we decided to visit the Texas State Fair while they were here. It is supposedly one of the best in the country, although I'm not able to fully agree with that statement since we didn't actually see most of the fair, having three young kids in tow. We did have a good time, though. The girls got their faces painted and Addy enjoyed the tea cup ride with both her daddy and PawPaw Bill. It was hard for poor Jayden to understand why she couldn't ride (she was a little too short) but she handled it pretty well. We enjoyed some free samples and the customary funnel cake, but I gotta be honest, I stayed far away from the fried lemonade and fried salad. They fry things in Texas that should never be fried, that's for sure!

Mom and Jayden worked on a Halloween craft while Addy was at school.

Isaiah really loved his PawPaw Bill - this trip was their first time to meet each other!

Unfortunately, the visit was a really short one, but we tried to pack in as many memories as possible! We're really looking forward to spending more time with them over the holidays!
