Valentine's Day

For some reason I didn't take very good pictures on Valentine's Day, but it was a fun day, nevertheless! We started out with a couple of special surprises from mom and dad at their spots for breakfast. The girls each got a new water bottle for our almost daily trips to the park and a new stuffed puppy while Isaiah got a set of toy boats for the bathtub (free from Pampers with my Gifts to Grow points!). The girls decorated little bags to receive Valentines in so Nathan and I made one for them and they made ones for each other. I also put in their bags any Valentines they received in the mail that week and a box of candy hearts from Isaiah. The tulips were a gift to me from Nathan.

After we walked to pick Addy up from school, we walked to our neighborhood park to play for a while. We left early enough that we could get started on our special supper we planned for daddy - steak (thanks to a Christmas present from the Humistons!), mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, and french bread. Nathan got home in time to grill the steaks for us and play in the back yard with the kiddos. We had a wonderful time talking over dinner and just being together.

As I was tucking the girls in bed that night, Addy kissed me and said, "You know what the best Valentine you gave me today was? You!" She's like her mom - she loves to cheese!
