Disney on Ice

In late March, the girls were thrilled to realize the rewards of their hard labor - they saved for 3 months (all allowance and monetary gifts for Valentine's Day) to be able to go to Disney on Ice - Dare to Dream.  We got a babysitter for Isaiah and Nathan and I took the girls out for a special girlie afternoon.  We thoroughly enjoyed the entire event (although Nathan mostly just enjoyed the girls' excitement - not so much the ice skating!)

Before the show, the girls were patiently waiting for it to begin - we got there a little early to make sure we didn't have trouble with traffic and parking.

The girls brought one of their princess books and their princess dolls to play with before the show - Jayden was so grown up sitting "reading" her book.

Nathan, being his charming self.

The girls were really tired of mommy's picture taking by the time this one was taken:)

More silliness before the show - wonder where she gets that from!

I might have overlooked one tiny detail in preparation for this outing - even though it was in the 80's outside, it was still very chilly in rink.  Oh my - we almost froze!  Nathan and Jayden snuggled most of the show to keep warm and Addy stuck her arms in her dress.  Mommy was just out of luck:)

Our favorite part of the show, of course, was the segment about Rapunzel.  The acrobatics at the end where the skaters lifted up off the ice was amazing!

Although we live in Dallas and lots of shows come through town, we don't get to go out and enjoy them except on a rare occasion.  It was quite fun to take the girls out for such a special day (and my sweet husband gets major bonus points for coming along!)
