I have an uncle, his name is uncle Jody . . . deep in the heart of Texas!
I have a grandpa, his name is John . . . deep in the heart of Texas!
We cracked up at this! What a joy she was last night. I loved watching her interact with her friends, cheer for the team and enjoy the PBT family we have "deep in the heart of Texas!" Although this extended family doesn't make us miss our families any less, it does help fill a big void that their absence leaves. We're thankful for the gift of these dear friends to share this journey with!
Here are a few pics from the game:
Addy and her daddy at the singing of the national anthem. Addy has been particularly excited about seeing the American flag since she learned about it for 4th of July in the summer program at school.
Addy and her friend Mikaela holding the prized bag of cotton candy! She got to take lots of treats to the game along with two flavors of Gatorade!
Addy with "grandma" Dottie. Dottie volunteers full-time at the office and has become quite dear to lots of PBT MK's - including Addy. Addy wanted to sit with Dottie for the last couple of innings and enjoyed getting some one on one time with her. We're so thankful for Dottie and her service to the Lord, as well as to the children of PBT.
Me and Nathan at the game. Nathan was so excited to share his favorite game (although, not his favorite team!) with Addy. It tickled him to death that she loved it so much!
Addy with Miriam, Mikaela and Sophia, other PBT MKs. They had loads of fun together!

Looks like you guys had a GREAT time! Sadie's been to a Hawkeyes game (last fall) but I know Marc is excited to take her to a Cubs game at some point!
