Here are a few new pics of our girls. Aren't they precious?

The other day, I was feeding Jayden homemade spinach for lunch. She is surprisingly a big fan of spinach! Addy came up and looked in the bowl. She said, "Yuck! That's looks awful! Yuck! Yu, yu, Yuck! Yuck starts with Y!" It just so happened that the letter of the week at school was Y and my daughter found a great way to put it to use!

It is EXTREMELY wonderful to have my husband home (Addy is especially enjoying daddy being home, as you can see in the picture above!) What a joy it was to hear about his trip, see the faces of the children he worked with and the people that live in the village he visited where a PBT translation is in progress.

It was a big bummer when he threw his back out on Monday afternoon. He was unable to move even his legs at first. It was frightening since I was at the office when it happened and he called to ask me to come home. The girls did great while daddy was laying on the floor unable to move. Thankfully he has made significant improvement and is even working at the office this morning.

It's been a rough week for other reasons as well, but I will leave them in my thoughts and heart for now.


I was talking with PBT's president and his wife yesterday at the office - they came in to pray for me and my family. They said it is very rare for anyone to come home from the field Nathan just visited without something bad happening in their life or in the lives of their family members. He says they've observed (and lived) a spiritual battle that happens when folks work to reach this unreached country and peoples. He said the things that happen are seemingly unrelated to the trip itself, but they are the evil one's attempt to derail your efforts and keep the people in darkness. By offering the light to them, you become a target. He encouraged me and Nathan to do our "spirtual warfare maintenance" and stay alert. And so we shall . . .
