This year, Addy decided to take a break from dance class. This made me really sad and I'm hopeful she'll take up classes again next year because she really is quite a good little dancer. Jayden has waited patiently for 2 years until we thought she was old enough to actually gain something from the classes and she was SO excited for her first day of class. I took her to get her tap shoes and tights and she was able to wear a leotard that used to be Addy's.
The day of her first class, Addy's good friend Aubrie came to play after school. The girls made homemade ice cream in a ziploc bag, which they threw around and shook for 15 minutes until it hardened. It was a really fun project and the reward was delicious! (By the way, my favorite fake plant in the background - okay, my only fake plant - was destroyed by my little mess maker shortly after this picture was taken.)
After dinner, Jayden headed to class. Here are a few pictures from her big night (ignore the ugly flooring in one of the pics, the studio was putting in new flooring that wasn't completed yet).
Jayden came home from dance a couple of weeks ago and said, "Mom, I LOVE dance class!" I'm so thankful she is getting to experience this - it was such fun for me growing up too.
