A trip to the lake

In late August, we joined two other couples from church for a trip to the lake. One of the couples, Rob and Betsy, owns a little cabin on a lake just a couple hours south of Dallas and were gracious enough to invite us to join them for a weekend of fun on the water. We had a blast! It was a dreadfully hot weekend with temps well over 100, so being in the water felt wonderful.

Unfortunately, Isaiah didn't really care for the water very much, but as long as Nathan kept him close to shore with a few rocks in hand, he put up with it. The lake (which is man made) is a canyon lake, so there wasn't any shallow water for him to play in or any beach to run around on. It's basically a straight drop off from shore.

Addy, on the other hand, LOVED the lake. She would've swam, jump in the water from the boat and gone tubing all day and night if possible. She was in heaven.

Addy is on the left, Betsy and Rob's daughter Libby is in the middle and Rob is on the right. Libby is very close in age to Jayden and she is quite the tubing warrior! Jayden was a little too nervous to try tubing this time - maybe next time!

It was such a wonderful weekend and we're thankful for great friends to have shared it with!
