Jayden's very best friend from preschool, Talitha, came to the house for one more play date before heading off to Papua New Guinea for her family's second term as Wycliffe missionaries. Talitha spent the spring in Oklahoma while her family did partnership development, so we've only gotten to see her a couple of times since they moved. They drove to Dallas to fly out and say good-bye to family that lives in the metroplex, so we were able to get the girls together for a few hours to play.
Jayden has known for quite some time that Talitha was moving to PNG, but the reality of it is really hard. She still talks about Talitha quite a bit and always includes her in her prayers. A dream come true would be for the Lord to open the door for us to visit Talitha on a trip to PNG ourselves . . . we'll see what the Lord does with that dream:) In the meantime, we plan to send pictures and letters to Talitha with small gifts to remind her of their special friendship and we're praying for the Lord to provide our Jayden with another friend as dear to her as Miss Talitha has been.
