The month of December was quite full and busy this year - but with good things that made the season feel brighter (excuse the cheese!) Nathan commented about mid-December, "You know how some years it doesn't really feel like Christmas? Well, this year it definitely does." That was a good feeling, especially since December is a difficult time as we continue to grieve Judy's passing. Here is a glimpse into the earlier part of the month (more on our Christmas trip to Kentucky in a later post!):
I joined my two dear PBT friends, Dottie (left) and Angie (middle) for a women's ministry Christmas event at church. It was a beautiful night with beautiful worship, Christmas decorations, an amazing guest speaker and yummy food.
PBT's annual Christmas party was such fun! The girls got to participate in the children's presentation of the Christmas story - they were angels (which was especially cute since Addy was still in her wheelchair!) Isaiah was so well behaved that night - he just kept walking around the room back and forth from me and Nathan. He enjoyed snagging a few pieces of candy off the tables as well:)
We hosted a wonderfully fun Sunday school class party at our house. Although, sadly, I was so busy hosting that I failed to take any pictures. We had a lot of leftovers from the party so we invited Angie's family and our friends Tye and Amber (along with their two kids) over for lunch the next day. The men watched football and the women and kids made sugar cookies. It was such a special day.
Jayden's dance class had a fun Christmas party the last half of their final class before break. They all got to wear reindeer antlers and the teacher painted rudolph noses on them too. 
Addy's school hosted a Holiday sing-a-long for all the families during the school day. Even Nathan got to join us for this one! It was quite the old-fashioned fun as we all sang carols (with a couple of Hanukkah songs thrown in for good measure).
Addy and Jayden's good friends Miriam, Mikaela and Emily were in the local production of Babes in Toyland. The girls and I went to cheer them on for one of the performances. It was the girls first real play and they thoroughly enjoyed EVERY moment. 
We enjoyed a few early Christmas presents when a package from Grandpa Davenport and Uncle Andy and Aunt Tawnya arrived. The girls were especially ecstatic over their new barbie clothes and Isaiah was a huge fan of the construction trucks they sent.
