Hiking!

We have had gorgeous weather this winter and we've taken advantage of it to do a little bit of hiking on the trails of the SIL campus. Somehow we've never explored these trails, even though we've lived here for 5 years now! Crazy! Our kids have thoroughly enjoyed the mix up to our normal walks around the neighborhood and it's been nice to escape the city feel, if even for only a couple of hours.

On our first hike, Isaiah was so excited and ran on and off for about a mile. He finally got worn out and sat down for a rest. It made us laugh so hard because he was going so strong and then all of a sudden was like, "no more!" He enjoyed daddy carrying him the rest of the way.

Once we got back to the car, we saw some boys playing basketball - Isaiah's favorite. He wanted to stay and watch so bad so he laid on the ground and covered his eyes - which is his version of hiding since he thinks we can't see him.

I'm looking forward to many more such hikes on campus and in surrounding parks - as long as they are mild enough that my muscles don't act up. So far, so good.
