The day that Nathan was scheduled to come home from his trip to IL also happened to be a big day for Jayden at church - while mommy was in Bible study, the kids were having pajama day, complete with popcorn, chocolate milk and a movie. She was ecstatic! Earlier in the year, Addy had pajama day during spirit week at school and Jayden was SUPER disappointed not to get to join in. She counted the days for her own pajama party and it did not disappoint.
Later that day, about the time we were to leave to pick Nathan up from the airport, Jayden came down with a frilly skirt, make-up on her face and fancy shoes to complete the outfit. She was all dressed up to see her dad - she missed him so much (as did we all!) It was a happy reunion . . . and we're all pretending he doesn't have another trip scheduled :)
